It depends only on your personal preferences. After all, these are your holidays, so tell us what you want and we’ll make it happen. On board we have snorkel equipment, wakeboarding boards, a set of water skis and fishing rods. If you have the necessary qualifications, we also have diving equipment, but of course in this entertainment you can also indulge in one of the many local diving centers. If, however, you just want to relax, there’s nothing simpler! We provide a lot of sunpads, a swimming deck with a ladder and extremely comfortable living room. Finally, if you would like to visit some interesting places, just tell us about it and we will organize everything.

The secret of a successful vacation lies in the slogan „the less, the better”, especially if it is to be a vacation on a yacht. Therefore, all passengers have guaranteed bedding, as well as towels, including additional sets for swimming and sunbathing. When it comes to the issue of clothes, the most important thing is that you feel relaxed, so take what you feel comfortable. Formal wear is unlikely to be necessary, but it’s good to take with you some warm sweater or sweatshirt for protection against the cold evening breeze, which may happen from time to time. Also, leave rigid, hard suitcases in favor of soft bags, because the first ones could be quite an obstacle on the yacht.

To satisfy all passengers’ needs, 240 V electricity is supplied for several hours a day. There are British type sockets on the yacht, so you should bring an adapter with you; if necessary, you can also use the adapters belonging to the boat’s equipment.

Each morning we determine the form of meals for the coming day. Most often, breakfast and lunch are served on the yacht, while dinner can be enjoyed on board or on land. If you decide on the latter option, skipper will be happy to recommend you a good, tried and true local place.

Sailing can be a great way to relax or to get a good dose of adrenaline. It all depends on how you like to sail and the weather conditions prevailing in a given period. However, you can be sure that the Independence of Herm is an efficient and safe yacht. She is regularly inspected, and also has a certificate of compliance with the Code of Practice for Commercial Ships of the Maritime Agency and Coast Guard of the United Kingdom. This means that the boat meets the most rigorous standards regarding to construction, equipment, as well as training and experience of the crew.

Of course, this issue is entirely up to you, but it is standard practice to tip 10-15% of the charter fee. Tips are split between the crew at the end of the cruise.

For most travel destinations, a passport is quite enough, but it’s a good idea to check any formal requirements earlier on the official, government websites of the countries you intend to visit.

Some of our cruises cross the borders between countries, but in this case the captain will make all necessary preparations.

Before you get on board of the yacht, you will be asked to fill out a sheet detailing your preferences. This way, you can give the crew accurate instructions on any specific products – such as wines, beers, beverages – which you would like to have on board, as well as regarding to any activities you would be interested in. Remember, the more information we get, the better we will prepare for your arrival, but keep in mind that your favorite brands may not be available in certain regions of the world.

In this matter, you should consult your doctor, informing him about the countries you intend to visit.

Independence of Herm is equipped with a set of basic cosmetics, such as soap or shower gel, but if you want to use your favorite products throughout the cruise, better take them with you.

The yacht is available from noon on the first day of charter, however, we take into account the need to adapt to the hours of your flight, etc.

Transfers on and from the yacht, both to hotels and airports can be arranged at your request.

Yes, the range of mobile telephony is available from the most places that the yacht will visit. However, if you are coming from the USA, make sure that your phone will be able to make and receive calls from Europe.

We can, after a preliminary determination, provide a small laundry service, but then we usually use the offer of facilities located on land. In case of such need, please inform us at least one day in advance.

Dinner can be served on the yacht, but you can also go to the restaurant on land. If you decide on the latter option, skipper will be happy to recommend a place and will help you to make the right choice.

The yacht has basic medical equipment and the crew is trained in first aid. However, if you take any medicines, inform the crew about it and let them know where they are stored.

The yacht uses a 24Volt and 240 Volt system. When the generator is running, it supplies voltage of 240 V and then you can use any electrical devices. Remember, however, that there are British type sockets on board, so you may need an adapter.

Smoking is only permitted on the deck and back of the yacht.

The routes of our cruises never run more than 2-3 hours distance from the main medical centers. So if you would need emergency medical evacuation, it will be organized. We recommend, however, that you take care of your travel insurance before the cruise.

Yes, however, bear in mind that the yacht’s decks are located on different levels and connected with each other by 2-3 steps.
